Audi have launched the brand-new A5 Saloon. Taking the best from the Audi A4 and Audi A5 ranges, the new model is built on the all-new Premium Platform Combustion and has a more efficient combustion engine than ever before.
The Audi A5 Saloon combines an elegant silhouette expected from a Saloon with powerful and sporty proportions. The interior is fully digitized and features a plethora of innovative technology. The brand-new A5 Saloon is available with a choice of petrol and diesel engines. MHEV plus technology is also available which will allow partially electric driving.
The all-new Audi A5 is available for the first time in the four door saloon body shape. The updates result in a combination of practical proportions, sporty twists and increased aerodynamic aesthetics. The front has been updated to feature a wide single frame grille that is flanked by aerodynamically shaped air inlets. Audi have also included flared wheel arches to add a sporty touch.
LED headlights are available as standard which in combination with the rear light strip and dynamic indicators increase visibility dramatically. As standard, the A5 Saloon features the 18” 5 twin spoke design alloy wheels. They are visually very impressive but can be upgraded further to the larger 20” Audi Sport alloys with front and rear red brake calipers for the Edition 1 trim level. For the first time on an Audi Saloon, the boot lid has been redesigned and opens with the rear windows resulting in a more functional and easily accessible boot space.
The interior design has been centered around innovation and user-experience. The result is a futuristic space that’s enjoyable to six back and relax in. The driver and front passenger benefits from front sports seats with 4-way electric lumbar support finished in twin leather upholstery. This ensures maximum comfort levels, even during longer drives. The interior is also customisable with Ambient LED lighting, offering 30 colour variations.
The main dashboard houses Audi’s innovative ‘softwrap’. This cocoons the interior and stretches seamlessly from door to door, housing the digital stage and all new infotainment screens. The iconic flat top and flat bottom leather sports steering wheel takes centre stage both visually and whilst aiding the car’s performance.
