Why do I need to service my car?

To make sure your car works properly having it serviced is an essential way to find any faults, issues or problems that if not fixed could become expensive and in the worst possible case take your car off the road. Something as small as a slight vibration or noise could potentially be the sign of a bigger issue, so getting it resolved quickly is key for your car to run properly. Not only will servicing your car extend it lifespan but also ensure you are driving a safe car. It could also be worth more if you choose to part exchange or sell it. A car with partial or full servicing history will show it has been looked after and there won't be any hidden faults.

How often do I need to service my car?

The easiest way for you to find out when you should service your car is within the handbook as will tell you how often your car needs to be serviced. This is because it can change between manufacturer and model but also change depending on how many miles you have done and the way the car is being driven. They generally say that you should have your car serviced every 12,000 miles or every year however if you do more miles you might want to get your car serviced every 6 months.

What's included in a car service?

There are two different types of services offered at Swansway a minor service and major service these will both cover multiple different types of checks, changes and other work which could be carried out during the service.

It is mandatory for customers to wear a face covering upon entering a Swansway Motor Group dealership. In line with Government guidelines, that came into effect on the 30th November, all of our staff in customer facing roles will also be required to wear one.
