Whilst under 25s are welcome to join the scheme, it does restrict your options when picking the right vehicle to suit your needs. There are currently over 865 vehicles available on the Motability Scheme, with 165 of which available for drivers under the age of 25.

If you are under the age of 25 and are eligible to join the Motability Scheme, there are three rules when picking your vehicle:

  • The vehicle must be a car, crossover or SUV.
  • The vehicles insurance group must be 16 or lower.
  • The engine of the vehicle must not exceed 120 brake horse power (BHP) which, in power speed (PS), is 121 (this rule does exclude Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs).
