How easy is it when selling your car in the West Midlands?

What do I need to sell my car?
When selling your car, there are a few pieces of important documentation and items that we will need to complete the sale within 24 hours:
- Proof of your address from a bank statement or utility bill
- Proof of identification like a driving license or passport
- One or two working keys
- The V5C documentation which shows proof of your name, address and the car’s registration number
- The logbook that came with the car, along with any service history
- All of the parts and accessories that originally came with the car
Are there any cars you won’t buy in the West Midlands?
There are three important things that we check as standard when buying a vehicle and these include a V5C document that matches the number plates on the car, the MOT is valid for at least 3 more months from the date of receipt and that the original number plates are on the car. However, there may be instances where we cannot buy a car from you:
- Discrepancies with the insurance documents or that the car is a write-off
- The tyres on the car aren’t legal or road-worthy
- The car was used for some sort of private hire, such as chauffeuring, rental, police, etc
- There are issues during the history check
- The mileage is significantly different to what was given at the time of the instant valuation
- The vehicle was registered outside the UK
- The car doesn’t have a valid MOT or is expired
- The car looks radically different to the description
- There is significant damage to areas of the vehicle
- There are large dents or panel holes
- Structural damage or the car is damaged beyond repair
