EXHAUST SYSTEM WARRANTY (5 YEARS)
Your new Honda is covered by several different warranties*. Check below for further details.
Honda warrants that the Honda car specified on your Warranty Certificate is free from corrosion appearing on visible painted surfaces for the period of 3 years unlimited mileage from the “Warranty Start Date” as specified on your Warranty Certificate. This is on the condition that the corrosion does not stem from an external factor such as damage or attack by bird lime or other fall out.
Honda warrants that the exhaust system of the Honda car specified on your Warranty Certificate will be free from perforation due to corrosion for a period of 5 years unlimited mileage from the “Warranty Start Date” as specified on your Warranty Certificate.
All external (visible) areas of the exhaust system are covered for perforation due to corrosion. This includes manifold, pipes, silencers and the catalytic converter but excludes the heat shields around the catalytic converter and its internal structure.
Honda warrants that the Honda car specified on your Warranty Certificate is free from corrosion from the inside to the outside of body panels for the period of 12 years unlimited mileage from the "Warranty Start Date" as specified on your Warranty Certificate.
During this period Honda will rectify, free of charge, any such defects found on the car, subject to the Warranty conditions in your Service Book.
Honda warrants that the Honda car, specified on your Warranty Certificate, is free from functional failure caused by perforation due to corrosion for specific components* for the period of 10 years unlimited mileage from the "Warranty Start Date" as specified on your Warranty Certificate.
During this period Honda will rectify, free of charge, any such defects found on the car, subject to the Warranty Conditions in your service book.
*This includes suspension arms, suspension beams, Front suspension cross member, drive shafts, brake lines, fuel lines and fuel tank (steel).
Honda warrants that the Honda car specified on your Warranty certificate is free from material and manufacturing defects to the Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system for specific components* for a period of:
8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, for 03YM to 10YM.
5 years or 90,000 miles, whichever comes first, for 11YM onwards Civic Hybrid, CR-Z, Insight and Jazz Hybrid.
The IMA warranty is in addition to the standard warranty.
During this period Honda will rectify, free of charge, any such defects found on the car, subject to the Warranty Conditions in your Service Book.
Your warranty will be honoured in most European Countries*.
For your 3-year Warranty, Honda warrants that the car specified on your Warranty Certificate is free from material and manufacturing defects for the period of 3 years from the "Warranty Start Date" or 90,000 miles, whichever comes first.
During this period Honda will repair or replace, free of charge, any such defects found on the car, subject to the Warranty Conditions in your Service Book.
