The Halloween Spirit is present in the car world, too, and over time there have been some particularly spooky new models on the scene.

So buckle up, put on your best mask and be prepared for a shocking surprise as we look out some of the spookiest cars ever made.

Rolls-Royce Spectre

Many of the best Halloween stories are based around ghosts, so it’s the eerily silent fully-electric Rolls-Royce which kicks off our list. It’s Rolls-Royce’s first electric vehicle and one which has all of the luxurious traits you’d expect from a car with the Spirit of Ecstasy on the bonnet.

It can do up to 260 miles on a single charge, too, and has a cool headliner which can depict the stars at night.

Hennessey Exorcist Camaro ZL1

Hennessey’s Exorcist Camaro ZL1 isn’t just fearsome in name, it’s fearsome in performance, too. It can manage 0-60mph in just 2.1 seconds and, given the space to do so, could carry on to a top speed of 217mph.

It also sounds like a shrieking ghoul, while its styling is enough to scare away even the most hardened of trick-or-treater.

Ferrari Roma Spider

Not many people are fans of eight-legged creepy-crawlies, but the Ferrari Roma is one Spider that most would be quite happy to deal with. It’s easily one of the prettiest cars on sale today, with a folding fabric roof which blends seamlessly into the rear of the Roma when stowed away.

Underneath the Spider’s long bonnet sits a turbocharged V8 engine which gives the Roma a spectacular noise and one that can be heard from a long way away.

Lamborghini Diablo

If you’re after a devilish supercar, then look no further than the Lamborghini Diablo. It’s one of the most iconic supercars ever made and one which defined a period of high-powered, high-cost vehicles.

The mid-engined model had a reputation for being a little spikey to drive, too, showing that it wasn’t just devilish in name alone.

Smart Crossblade

With a name as sharp as a dagger, the Smart Crossblade is a lesser-known model from the compact car firm’s history. Made from the factory without doors, a roof or any real windscreen, the Crossblade showed what could come from a Smart ForTwo freed from restrictions.

Though we’d argue that it wouldn’t be as comfortable to use in the UK as it would in the south of Spain, the Crossblade is a car that’ll get everyone looking your way.

Jaguar XE SV Project 8

Jaguar’s Project 8 may look like an XE with some modifications, but its changes go much deeper than that. It’s powered by Jaguar’s now-legendary supercharged V8 engine which gives the Project not only huge performance but a sound which is almost too devilish for Halloween.

It’s also really focused to drive but, because of its relatively compact dimensions, can still be parked and driven in town easily.

Dodge Hellcat

Much like the Camaro, Dodge’s Hellcat is a big, bruising muscle car with more performance than anyone could really need. With a supercharged 6.2-litre V8, it is monstrously powerful, yet with four seats it’s got enough space for others to come and enjoy the ride too.

It is gloriously American, with loads of presence and an exhaust note which is anything but shy-and-retiring.
