The same size engine also comes in automatic shifting with front-wheel drive. This engine has an acceleration of 12.5 seconds with a fuel economy of 50mpg and emissions at 142 CO2.
The T-Cross SEL has a choice of three different engines. The 1.6L diesel engine with manual shifting and front-wheel drive has an acceleration of 11.9 seconds. Its fuel economy is 52 mpg, and emissions are 137 CO2. This engine also comes in automatic shifting, which changes the acceleration to 12.5 seconds, fuel economy to 50mpg, and emissions to 143 CO2. The other engine is a 1.5L petrol with 150hp. This engine is an automatic with front-wheel drive and an acceleration of 8.5 seconds. The fuel economy is 54 mpg, and the emissions are 145 CO2.
The T-Cross R Line also has three engines available. The 1.6L diesel engine with 95 hp is front-wheel drive in both manual and automatic. Evolution of the Volkswagen T-Cross
The Volkswagen T-Cross was officially launched in April 2019 and is slightly smaller than the Volkswagen T-Roc. Even though its official release wasn’t until 2019, the conception of the T-Cross started in 2016 with the T-Cross Breeze. The T-Cross Breeze is not an SUV at all but rather a four-seat convertible, but externally it looks like the T-Roc, which was released two years before.
After the T-Cross Breeze, the T-Cross was introduced as a way to fill the gap between the convertible and the larger SUV, the T-Roc. The first T-Cross was launched late in 2018 and delivered in early 2019. Models like the 1.0 TSI (95PS, 115PS), 1.5 TSI (150PS), and 1.6 TDI (95PS) were the first models to be released. The German market later added 1.5 TSI (150PS).
The 72kW model, which was launched in September, was only available in the 1.0-litre, 85kW Comfortline, and Highline models. This model is a three-cylinder 1.0 TSI that has a direct injection engine. It can accelerate up to 100km/h in 10.2 seconds and a top speed of 193 km/h. Fuel efficiency is reported at 4.9 liters per 100km, and the engine is only compatible with a seven-speed DSG transmission. At the beginning of 2020, there will also be a 1.5-liter 110kW model released for people looking for a bit more powerful vehicle.
