Engineered to be agile and fun to drive, the first Volkswagen e-Golf was launched in 2014 as the Volkswagen brand's second battery electric vehicle (BEV) after the e-up! 03 in 2013. It also boasts a standard fast-charging system that allows you to replenish the e-Golf's battery to 80 percent charge in just thirty minutes. As well as the fast charging, when you brake or lift your foot off the pedal, the e-Golf converts the energy to electricity to help recharge its batteries. The higher the regenerative level you select, the more the car slows down when you lift your foot.
The e-golf also features different modes, for example, there's the Normal mode, but then you can switch to Eco mode for a happy medium of performance and efficiency. Or to help maximize your range, you can put the car into Eco+ mode for more conservative battery usage.
