Jaecoo is a Chinese vehicle manufacturer, that is a sub-division of Chery International which was created to market SUVs in an export market.
Founded in 2023, Jaecoo is the second Chinese manufacturer that has hit the ground running in the UK market and is targeting established brands like BMW and Land Rover. With ambitious sales targets for its range of petrol, hybrid and electric models. Jaecoo may be a name you are not familiar with right now, but with aspirations similar to BYD, the status of this Asian brand might be set to change, and skyrocket.
A second car brand from Chinese giant Chery that has launched in the UK, and following the launch of the Omoda last summer, the two brands are working together. While tackling the UK market, seeing the way BYD have bulldozed their way to the top of many EV drivers list, Chery is targeting different customers but building a joint dealer network across the country.
A state-owned company, Chery, having been around for over 30 years and acting as China’s largest exporter for most of that time. Jaecoo doesn’t exist in China, it is purely an export brand of Chery International.

Arriving as recently as the start of this year, in January 2025 Jaecoo sped into the UK due to the release of the Omoda.
Classic math theories states that a straight line is the shortest distance between two points. Jaecoo is say they aren’t about taking the easy route, it is about embracing challenges, pushing through setbacks and, and rising to every occasion. Jaecoo pride themselves on the physics of stillness, the power of relentless motion and the pursuit of excellence.
The inspiration for Jaecoo comes from hunting scenes of hunters in ancient times. The hunters are highly focused on their preys with amazing speed, never giving up until they reach their goal.
