Along with four other trims, BYD’s Excellence trim level is atop of the list and the most premium variant the brand offers. Being the company’s top-tier trim, the SEALION7 Excellence delivers enhanced luxury and, performance and technology features. There are a variety of attributes that set the Excellence trim apart from the rest, including its powertrain (Dual-motor All-wheel drive delivering 523 hp - 390 kW), 91.3 kWh Blade Battery for increased capacity and range of up to 312 miles (502 km) on a full charge. To the naked eye, they’ll be no difference between the SEALION7 in Active, Boost, Comfort or Design to the Excellence trim, but with an all-round prestige look and feel, this trim delivers the ultimate driving experience and excels in every division. Priced from £59,000 (manufacturer direct price), there is certainly a luxurious price tag to go with the premium features, although still very affordable compared to many other brands in competition with BYD.
Possessing a much larger battery than the Design trim (91.3 kWh BYD Blade Battery) to the Design’s (82.5 kWh), and a longer range (312 miles vs 283), just in performance alone there’s a reason why the Excellence is BYD’s top-tier trim level. The other ways in which the Excellence trim sits above Design is due to the additional features in the way of infotainment and the SEALION7’s interior. The speed of the SEALION7 Excellence is insane, with the ability to go 0-62mph in just 4.5 seconds, with a power output of 390 kW (523 hp).
