BYD (Build Your Dreams) is an all-electric Chinese manufacturer who have hammered their way into the UK market and the firms cars are proving to be a prolific hit to car users who are either already in the electric market or looking to get their first. Selling a colossal 1.57 million electric cars last year, BYD is well and truly making a name for itself, and they have done that with all their models.
Before we get on to the trim level itself, there’s a clever way the brand lays out its trim levels and this allows their customers to easily find the right model for them and leaves no room for questions. Unlike other brands who may use numbers, or various names, BYD’s trims go up in alphabetical order, starting with Active, all the way through to Design and Excellence. The Active trim is their first one, meaning it is the entry-level trim that the Chinese manufacturer offers.
Despite being the first in a list of five trim levels, BYD’s Active trim doesn’t disappoint in regards its features and attributes. Coming in at a reasonable price for a fully electric vehicle, there’s a lot to like about the Active BYD Dolphin. The Active’s performance packs more than a punch and there are a lot of exciting adaptations to this smaller model from BYD than in other cars the brand has produced. Offering a range of exciting features and specifications, most of these come as standard with the Active trim, and while classified as the entry-level model, you wouldn’t think so as what it does host, makes it an overall contender. Including exceptional interior design, advanced safety features and ultimate convenience.
