The SEAT Leon e-Hybrid is a fully-electric
vehicle in all but name. The new vehicle from the Spanish automaker is 100 per
cent electric until the battery runs down and then automatically switches to
regular internal combustion technology.
The car will do up to 36 miles using electricity only - more than you get from its major competitors. And unlike self-charging hybrids, you can plug it into a power source after every trip into town, without ever having to use the fuel in the tank. That means zero CO2 emissions and massive savings on your daily commute.
All SEAT Motability cars come with full RAC breakdown cover, a new vehicle every three years, insurance for up to two drivers, and local SEAT dealer servicing. But if you get a Leon on a Motability scheme, you get a bunch of additional perks too.
One of those is the heated steering wheel which makes this car a joy to use in the winter. There’s also SEAT’s Xcellence system which offers four USB-C ports for your devices, a helpful rearview camera showing you precisely what’s going on behind the car, and adaptive cruise if you take the Safety and Driving Pack.
SEAT also provides a good driving position and a high-visibility digital screen that makes it easy to see what you’re doing, even in bright or glaring sunlight. Thus, this vehicle is for anyone on the Motability scheme who wants to zip around town and doesn’t need an enormous amount of boot space.
