History of the SEAT Ateca
SEAT Headquarters has informed SEAT UK of a change to the production schedule for the SEAT Ateca. As a result, SEAT Ateca closed for factory ordering from Friday 16 January 2026, supporting SEAT’s product portfolio management and move to electrification.
It is also now closed for customer orders, since Thursday 15 January 2026. As of now, Ateca sales will be from stock only and the SUV will remain on our website. The Ateca will still be available from Swansway, including the car configurator, and will be supported by ‘from stock only’ messaging.
Since 2016, SEAT Ateca has been one of the brand’s most popular cars, loved for its design, drivability and technology, and nearly 80,000 have been sold to date. The entire SEAT range will be renewed with electrified options by 2028. The revamp will start with mild-hybrid versions of the Ibiza and Arona in 2027, followed by a full hybrid powertrain for the SEAT Leon in 2028, and further updates to the Leon and Leon Estate in 2029.
