As we are now at the halfway stage of 2025, the UK automotive landscape’s dramatic shift continues. With the government’s goal to ban the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles by 2035, electric vehicles (EVs) are what everyone is talking about. UK drivers can look forward to a range of exciting new cars that offer a combination of performance, sustainability and quality. From compact city cars to luxury saloons and other high-performance models, the new cars arriving before the end of 2025 are perfect for those whose resolution this year is to help the environment. Let’s explore some of the most anticipated vehicles that UK motorists will likely be driving for the rest of 2025 and beyond.

Tesla Model Q
As part of its ambitious plans to dominate the EV market, Tesla is preparing to launch the much-anticipated Model Q in the first half of 2025. This compact electric SUV promises to build on Tesla’s reputation for performance and innovation, whilst offering an affordable entry point into the electric SUV segment. After lots of debate on what Tesla will release next, it seems we have our answer for 2025.
The Model Q is expected to be priced competitively, with an estimated starting price of around £30,000, making it one of Tesla’s most affordable vehicles to date. This is likely to appeal to drivers seeking a compact and efficient electric SUV that can handle city driving while offering enough space for families. The Model Q’s compact size makes it well-suited for congested streets and limited parking spaces, especially in cities like London, Birmingham and Manchester.
Tesla’s signature performance features will be evident in the Model Q, with an expected range of around 250-300 miles on a single charge. This range will make it suitable for both urban commutes and longer road trips, addressing one of the common concerns about electric vehicles. Like all Tesla vehicles, the Model Q will be equipped with Tesla’s advanced Autopilot and Full Self-Driving (FSD) capabilities, bringing the promise of autonomous driving closer to reality for drivers.
