Swansway Motor Group Chairman and Founder, Michael Smyth, has been recognised with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Motor Trader Awards 2025.
The award, which celebrates his outstanding contribution to the automotive industry, was collected on his behalf by his son, Peter Smyth, at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, on Wednesday 19th November 2025.
The recognition marks more than five decades of dedication to the motor trade, during which Michael has built Swansway Motor Group into a successful family run business, known for driving forward its commitment to supporting the local communities and its friendly customer service.
Michael Smyth, Founder of Swansway Motor Group, said:

First founded in 2003 when the Smyth family bought LC Charles Ltd, they acquired their first Audi, SEAT and Volkswagen car dealerships, over two decades later Swansway has expanded to a total of 30 dealerships.
With strong roots in Cheshire and dealerships across the North West, Swansway Motor Group continues to play an active role in supporting local communities, charities and initiatives across the region.
