• Swansway Motor Group supports a wide range of Cheshire charities through grants managed by the Cheshire Community Foundation

• Donation contributes to vital mental health, family wellbeing and youth support services across the county

• Funding includes support for families of children with SEND in Ellesmere Port through the SEND Support for Ellesmere Port Families project

Swansway Motor Group is proud to support Cheshire based charities to continue their work in the local communities, thanks to grants managed through Cheshire Community Foundation and their ‘ForCheshireWest Fund’.

Grants from this Fund are distributed where they’ll make the most meaningful difference to individual charities in Cheshire West.

David Smyth, Director at Swansway Motor Group, said:

“Investing in our local communities is something we care about, it’s at the heart of who we are as a family owned business. Supporting charities close to home means we’re helping causes that really matter to our colleagues and customers. By donating locally, we can see the difference it makes and that reinforces our Caring value every single day.”

Below are a few organisations that received support and were happy to share how the donation has helped their charity.

Health Box

Healthbox has been able to continue delivering its community wellbeing programmes, offering mental health support, healthy lifestyle initiatives and early intervention services for families across Cheshire.

Simon Sandford, Director at Healthbox, said:

"Thanks so much to Swansway Motor Group for supporting Cheshire Community Foundation, as their funds are going to support Healthbox CIC's counselling service for survivors of domestic abuse. This vital funding will support so many people who have suffered not only physical but also emotional trauma. On behalf of those receiving this support and Healthbox CIC, thank you."

Platform for Life, which provides free mental health counselling for children, young people and parents in low-income households, received support to continue offering early, accessible counselling to families who may otherwise struggle to access help.

Debbie Thomas, Operations Director at Platform for Life, said:

“The support provided by this grant has enabled us to deliver free one to one counselling sessions with each session tailored to the individual's needs, focusing on building emotional resilience, confidence, and trust. These sessions help the young people we work with develop skills to manage their mental health, build self-worth, and nurture a stronger sense of identity and belonging. We're so grateful for this vital funding.”

Youth Federation supports thousands of young people each year through youth clubs, mentoring, digital safety training and personal development programmes. The funding will help them reach even more young people who rely on their services.

Kevin Bradburne MBE, Director of Operations, said:

“Youth Fed are proud to be supported through this fund which helps support our Women of the World mental health and wellbeing group. Thanks to this funding, local young women in Cheshire who are struggling with feeling isolated, lacking confidence or experiencing mental ill health are able to access group and one-to-one wellbeing support as well as personal development and empowerment activities.”

Koala North West provides emotional and practical support for families with young children. The grant will help the charity’s vital work helping families with children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Ellesmere Port.

Bev Morgan, CEO of Koala North West, said:

"We're incredibly grateful to Swansway for their generous support. Families with children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities often feel isolated navigating complex systems alone. Thanks to Swansway's funding, we can provide practical support, expert guidance, and the reassurance that someone is there alongside them. This is already making a real difference to families in Ellesmere Port, enabling us to provide the support families and their children need and deserve."

Through Cheshire Community Foundation’s collaborative grant making process, the donation has been able to reach a wide range of services supporting mental health, family wellbeing and youth development across the region.

ENDS.
