In September 2022, Swansway Motor Group opened the brand-new Volkswagen Van Centre Oldham, the first Volkswagen Commercial retailer in the area. Joined with the move of Volkswagen Oldham into a purpose-built dual retailer, the opening saw 17 new jobs created, including those roles in the Service team.
Led by Aftersales Manager Paul Morton, the service team consists of 5 Volkswagen-approved Technicians, 2 apprentices,2 service advisors, a Workshop Controller, and a Warranty Controller.
Paul joined Swansway Motor Group in June 2022 in preparation for the opening. With 28 years of experience in the motor industry, Paul jumped at the opportunity to join Swansway Motor Group and the Volkswagen Van Centre Oldham team, pursuing a new challenge, and putting his stamp on the business from the get-go.
Joining Paul are Service Advisors Rajon Hussain and Dave Travis, these are the first point of contact for any customers booking their cars for a service, helping with any enquiries you may have.
Workshop Controller Neil Armsden will conduct quality checks on vehicles in the workshop to ensure that customers’ cars are well looked after, and the work carried out meets brand standards.
The Volkswagen Van Centre Oldham team also consists of Warranty Controller Lee Pickering, Master Technicians Tony Tyrer and Darren Dean, Diagnostic Technician Zak Kolakowski, Service and MOT Tester Farhaan Mahmood and Service Technician Adam Bowker.
Future-proofing the business and caring for customers in the Oldham area are apprentices Jack Horrocks and Reece Jackson.
