Deliveries to UK customers began in March 2023, following the official announcement earlier that month. The most recent BYD car in the brands lineup to be sold in the UK, equipped with the Blade Battery is the BYD SEALION 7 - a fully electric SUV that went on sale in Q1 2025 and comes equipped with BYD’s Blade Battery technology as standard.
Part of BYD’s expanding EV lineup in the UK and represents one of its newest battery electric offerings. It features the Blade Battery, with an 82.5 kWh or 91.3 kWh pack depending on configuration, offering competitive range and performance for the segment. Deliveries to our BYD dealerships began in early 2025, making it more recent than earlier Blade-equipped models such as the ATTO 3.

BYD’s UK model range also includes other EVs with Blade Batteries like the ATTO 2, Dolphin, Dolphin Surf and SEAL. However, the SEALION 7 is the newest all-electric Blade-battery model, with ATTO 3 being the oldest.
