What is the Motability Scheme?

The Motability Scheme is an all-inclusive way for people who are in receipt of a mobility allowance to drive a brand new vehicle with the cost of everything, except fuel, covered as part of the lease agreement.

A mobility allowance offers many people with a disability help with the extra costs they may face because of their disabilities. Since being established in 1978 over 600,000 people have chosen to spend it on a brand new car or wheelchair accessible vehicle with the Motability Scheme.

You can also name up to two drivers for your vehicle, so if your carer, a family member or a friend could drive your Motability car. Plus you get a brand new car every three years, so if your circumstances change or even if you just fancy something different, it's really easy.

How does the Motability Scheme Work?

Finding a vehicle on the Motability Scheme couldn't be easier.

All you need to do is:

  1. Find the right vehicle from the latest Motability offers and decide if you’d like any adaptations fitting.
  2. Make an appointment with your nearest Motability accredited center.
  3. Place your order, with our Motability Specialists.

Your Motability lease will last for 3 years, so at the end of the lease simply drop the car back off at the dealership you picked it up from and arrange for a new one to be ordered.
