Meet CUPRA’s two-seater concept sports car
The DarkRebel showcases CUPRA’s vision of a future sports car. It pushes the boundaries of design and performance with a striking exterior design and an all-electric powertrain. The DarkRebel is 2.2 metres wide and 1.3 metres tall. This innovative concept is said to be apart of CUPRA’s next dream.
Everything about the DarkRebel turns heads. The mercury-like exterior body colour flows across the shooting brake bodywork and contrasts against the black and copper alloys.
The interior is dominated by large digital displays and a futuristic design theme. It is intended to appeal to a generation of gaming drivers.
The CUPRA DarkRebel has been released as a concept car and there is currently no information surrounding an official release or build date.
Design Innovation
In order to finalise the design for the CUPRA DarkRebel concept, more than 270,000 configurations were created by the CUPRA Tribe using the Hyper Configurator. The online platform called the Metahype allowed the customer to influence the future design of the latest concept car by creating their own version. Data collected from the Hyper Configuration influenced the final design which has been recently released to the world.
A Concept with CUPRA DNA
Experience the power of illumination in the design of the CUPRA DarkRebel. From the captivating logo lighting to the striking triangular light signature, every detail brings this car to life. The innovative lighting concept breaks down the CUPRA logo into three triangles, transforming them into Daytime Running Lights that command attention.
The CUPRA DarkRebel's design is inspired by the sleek lines of a sailboat keel. This central spine connects the front and rear, accentuating the car's progressive and sporty allure.
With its sensuous curves and sharp lines, the DarkRebel exudes energy and purpose. The enigmatic liquid body colour adds to its allure, evolving and shifting in different lighting conditions.
Designed to be low to the ground, the DarkRebel's wheel design takes inspiration from CUPRA's racing cars, exemplifying performance and efficiency. The iconic triangular CUPRA logo is seamlessly integrated into every aspect of the wheel, from the structure to the aerodynamic covers and stylish copper accents.
