Here at Swansway, we’re not as focused on the cast or the music, but rather the cars. So what vehicles would Barbie drive? Here we’ve picked out the top choices we reckon she’d like.

Mini Convertible

A Mini has often been the choice of vehicle in Barbie marketing, and this stylish brand’s models remain an ideal image match. From the iconic Hatch to the Countryman SUV, the fun and style that Minis offer is certainly right up Barbie’s street.

But it has to be the Convertible that would get her vote. In fact, hire car company Sixt even created a one-off ‘Barbiecore’ example, wrapped in pink and with a pink interior, to coincide with the opening weekend of the film.

Volkswagen T-Roc Cabriolet

In the past if Barbie was shopping for a convertible, we reckon VW’s Beetle would have been the chosen option. But as times change, the only new drop-top Volkswagen is the T-Roc Cabriolet.

This funky SUV-like convertible is an ideal fit for the trend for higher-riding models, and is most certainly ‘on brand’ for Barbie. There’s no pink option but a Teal Blue shade that it’s available with most certainly adds some vibrancy.

Pink Maserati Grecale

Maserati Grecale

Maserati might not be the most ‘Barbie’ of brands, but this Italian firm, alongside Mattel – the makers of Barbie – created a one-off version of its Grecale SUV. Designed to showcase the sheer level of personalisation under Maserati’s ‘Fuoriserie’ division, the Grecale is painted in the iconic pink hue with contrasting yellow detailing.

The Grecale is Maserati’s new mid-size SUV, which appeals with its stunning interior and enjoyable driving experience. It rivals the Porsche Macan.

Audi A1

In recent years, Barbie has tended to favour upmarket, smaller cars, and you don’t get much higher quality from a smaller vehicle than Audi A1. It might be this German firm’s smallest and most affordable model, but you wouldn’t know it with its impressive interior.

While Audi doesn’t sell the brand-new A1 in pink these days, the previous generation could be had in an ‘Audi Exclusive’ colour, which essentially lets you pick whatever shade you like, with some buyers opting for pink.

Range Rover Evoque

If Barbie was looking for something a bit more upmarket, we reckon the Range Rover Evoque would take her fancy. This compact SUV is especially popular because of its style, and would make a great accompaniment to the Barbie look.

Though not available as standard in a true ‘pink’ shade, some customers have chosen to turn their own Land Rovers pink and Land Rover does sell it in a cool rose gold finish. With a high-quality interior and loads of technology, there’s a lot going for this Range Rover.

Volkswagen California

Barbie might be best known as the urban fashionista, but what if she wants a bit more adventure? Step in the Volkswagen California to fulfill that more outgoing side.

Thie mid-size camper van is ideal for camping weekends away, allowing ‘off-grid’ weekends, with sleeping space for two adults and two children. Four-wheel-drive models are also available for trips further afield.

Fiat 500

The Fiat 500 is a style and fashion icon, and it’s a car that would suit Barbie to a tee. In fact, back in 2009, Fiat created a special one-off show car to mark Barbie’s 50th anniversary. But the reception was so good that the Italian firm went on to create a limited-run of bright-pink Fiat 500s available for customers.

You can even choose to have Fiat’s new electric 500 available in a light pink shade from the factory.
