What is a Nearly New Audi?

A nearly new Audi has low milage and is usually about a year old. Often, these cars are ex-demonstrators that have been displayed at a dealership or are registered but only have completed delivery mileage which is under 100 miles. Another way an Audi maybe considered as nearly new is if it is less than 12 months old and has completed less than 5,000 miles.

A nearly new Audi is a smart way to drive a car with all the very latest features and technology, at a much lower cost than purchasing the brand-new model. You can save £1,000s on the brand-new price of the car and yet have all the advantages in terms of the latest tech – what’s not to like?

Why buy a Nearly New Audi?

Nearly new Audis offer great value for money, because they’re still relatively new, but will save you a lot of money compared to a new Audi.

The first year of your Audi’s life is when it depreciates the most, so by buying after its first year you’ve saved yourself a lot of money and you still get the benefits of a new car such as already having been serviced by an approved Audi dealer, low-mileage, warranty and no MOTs for a couple of years. Plus, if you then decide to sell your Audi after a few years, you’ll get much closer to what you paid for it than if you had bought new.

When you’re looking for your next car, a nearly new Audi is a smart choice. A nearly new Audi will have very few miles on the clock, and more than likely has one previous owner. More often than not, the previous owner would be the selling dealership, this could because the car was a demonstrator or a Pre-Reg.

What’s the difference between a Nearly New Audi and ‘Pre-Reg’?

The main difference between the two is that a nearly new Audi has had an owner before, whereas a pre-reg Audi hasn’t. Nearly new cars have usually been leased by a fleet company before, so they will have had a previous driver and only done a few thousand miles. Pre-reg on the other hand are cars that the Audi dealership needed to register but have had no previous owners and usually only have completed the delivery mileage.

Are there any downsides of buying a nearly new Audi?

There is only one and that’s just that you can’t spec the car yourself. When ordering a brand-new car, you will have the option to choose the colour, styling, and any additional features. As a nearly new car has already been built, you won’t be able to change anything already fitted to the car. With that being said, there might be a nearly new car currently for sale that is exactly to your liking!
