Peugeot cars have been among the most popular on the market for over a century and a quarter thanks largely due to the French manufacturer's ability to marry affordable practicality with stylish aesthetics. As times change, though, the company continues to adapt its offerings. Frankly, the current Peugeot SUV models make this one of the most exciting collections they've ever produced.
The Peugeot SUV range includes:
All vehicles are available in various trims and configurations.
Peugeot's desire to create a more upmarket range for modern families is clear across the collection, not least in the 3008 SUV and 5008 SUV models that boast a range of comforts to support the large capacities.
Meanwhile, the 3008's GT and GT Line models are highly suited to drivers wanting to retain a sense of fun behind the wheel. The all-new 2008 SUV is the most compact model in the range, finding a nice balance between the practical needs of a modern family and the convenience needed to navigate town.
The 3008 SUV is a little bigger but does provide a sportier engine, improving the 0-62mph speeds from 10.9s on the all-new 2008 SUV to an impressive 8 seconds on the GT trim. The GT and GT Lines, along with the 5008 SUV also offer hybrid options. Despite its size, the 5008 SUV can accelerate from 0-62mph in under 10 seconds on the premium GT specs too.
As far as new cars are concerned, the Peugeot SUV range starts at £20,590 for a standard all-new 2008 SUV to £28,980 for the standard Peugeot 5008 SUV, although prices will naturally increase with different trims, as the 3008 SUV GT and 3008 SUV GT Line show.
Unsurprisingly, the larger 7-seater 5008 SUV boasts a bigger boot capacity than its smaller siblings, both as a standard setup and with seats folded.
Nonetheless, the storage capabilities of the all-new 2008 SUV and 3008 SUV respectively are quite suitable for most average families.
The Peugeot SUV range is one that delivers pleasing fuel consumption rates across the collection, especially when put up against comparable models from other manufacturers.
Even the bigger 5008 SUV can deliver 69mpg combined on a standard trim while the all-new 2008 SUV increases this to an impressive 79mpg. The hybrid versions can increase the economy further still.
With Peugeot SUVs available in multiple engine sizes, the miles per gallon rates can vary from one trim to the next while the type of driving (city versus motorway) and load capacity will naturally make a big impact.
While the all-new 2008 SUV and 3008 SUV are limited to five seats, the Peugeot 5008 SUV (and GT trim) is a large 7-seater SUV that uses three rows of seats to provide a comfortable ride for all passengers even at the full capacity.
Thanks to the use of seven individual seats, each person is blessed with pleasing amounts of legroom and head room. Passengers on the second row can even make longitudinal adjustments or recline their seats while the third row seats can be removed and stored away to create a bigger boot capacity when only five people are travelling. All three second row seats include ISOFIX POINTS for child seat installations, which is great news for parents.
While an array of add-ons can be selected for each model within the new Peugeot SUV range, each vehicle also comes with a plethora of impressive features as standard.
