VW described the Arteon as an ‘avant-garde Gran Turismo’. It was something designed to turn heads and to stand out from the crowd.
With two trim levels, the Elegance and the R-Line, the Arteon offers plenty of options. The Elegance is the simpler, more elegant, and restrained version, whereas the R-Line, features sporting details around the wide front grille, and it also has less of the Elegance’s exterior chrome.
The Areton has been developed from the outset to ride on 20-inch alloy wheels, featuring a pair of 2.0-litre engines units delivering either 240bhp or 280bhp depending on whether you want diesel or petrol. Both engine choices come with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission as well as VW’s 4Motion.
Thanks to its smart interior that houses lots of the latest technology, the Arteon looks and feels like a genuinely premium product and bought new, it would be priced like one. However, you can pick up a used one, which is almost as good as new, with very little mileage on it for a reasonable price.
The Volkswagen Arteon’s crisp interior looks very modern, and it lives up to its appearance with its Active Info Display, a huge 12.3in screen that takes the place of traditional dials and it also allows lots of custom information as well as full-color and sat-nav displays.
As well as this, the Arteon has an impressive kit. The Elegance version gives you LED headlights, sat-nav and leather trim, heated front seats, adaptive cruise control, and three-zone climate control with separate controls for rear-seat passengers.
Not only that, but this is a spacious car, with plenty of room in the front for heads, legs, and shoulders. The Arteon provides an electric driver’s seat adjustment as standard and with its hatchback entrance; it has a large opening - you could fit about eight suitcases into the Arteon!
With two rear doors, a big boot, and sensible engines, the Arteon’s seven-speed dual-clutch auto ’box responds promptly when pulling away, and pings up and down through the gears very energetically.
If you come to us to choose a used car, then you will get to experience the vehicle ‘in person’ before purchase. When looking for a used car, an ‘approved used’ car from a manufacturer’s franchised dealer is usually the most reliable option to go for. We check our vehicles thoroughly, and our cars come with a warranty.
The Arteon is very good-looking, very spacious, beautifully made, and entirely logical to use. It is not just a different name, it has style too, and Volkswagen did a great job in making this car look good as well as feel good.
