Tyre Insurance
AutoTrust Tyre Insurance covers four Tyre(s) fitted to your vehicle and one spare Tyre, which require repair or replacement as a result of damage occurring.
Eligibility
You are eligible for this cover if at inception:
- Your vehicle is less than 8 years old and has covered less than 80,000 miles
- Your tyres must have a minimum of 2mm tread depth
- The wheels fitted to the vehicle are of the manufacturer’s original specification
You may purchase this product up to or on the delivery date of your vehicle. The policy will commence on the delivery date of your vehicle.
This insurance is underwritten by Motors Insurance Company Limited which is registered in the UK. What is AutoTrust Tyre Insurance?
AutoTrust Tyre Insurance protects you against the unforeseen costs of having to replace or repair the tyres on your vehicle prematurely, as a result of accidental damage, puncture or malicious damage by a third party, resulting in the sudden and unforeseen deflation of a tyre or for sidewall damage that does not immediately lead to sudden deflation provided that the tyre is deemed illegal by UK MOT testing standards, subject to the terms, exclusions and conditions as detailed in your policy document.
Sidewall damage that does not immediately lead to sudden deflation is also covered, provided that the tyre is deemed illegal as determined by UK MOT testing standards. Tyre Insurance covers the cost of replacement or repair of the four tyres on your vehicle plus the spare.
This policy has a maximum claim limit per tyre of either £125 or £300 including VAT for standard tyres, depending on which policy type has been chosen and £450 including VAT for run-flat tyres. You may claim for up to 5 tyre(s) during the policy period.
What is not covered (see “What is not covered” in your Policy Document)
- Tyres with a minimum tread depth of less than 2mm across the full tread area of the tyre at the time of damage
- Any malicious damage claim, which is not accompanied by a valid and substantiated crime reference number
- Theft of the tyre(s)
- Tyre(s) which are not ‘E’ Marked and any claim where there has been an attempt to remove the serial number or other identifying marks from the tyre(s)
- Where it was discovered that the policy was purchased more than 30 days following the delivery date of the vehicle
- The policy does not cover where the vehicle is used as an emergency vehicle, taxi, or bus, for driving school tuition, dispatch, commercial travel that is not covered under motor insurance Business Use Classes 1 and 2, hire or reward whatsoever nature, off road use (including all Quad Bikes), road racing, track day participation, rallying, ace-making, speed testing or any other competitive event, or is a commercial vehicle in excess of 3.5 tonnes Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) or a motorcycle.

Cancellation
You have the right to cancel the policy within 14 days of purchase with a full refund without giving any reason providing that no claims have been made. Please note that no refund will be made after the expiration of this period.
This AutoTrust Tyre Insurance policy is provided by Elite Insurance Company Limited, registered Office: Elite Insurance Company Limited, Newton Chambers, Newton Business Park, Isaac Newton Way, Grantham, Lincolnshire NG31 9RT. Elite Insurance Company Ltd are authorised by the Financial Services Commissioner for Gibraltar and subject
to limited regulation by the Financial Conduct Authority. The administrator of the policy is Car Care Plan Ltd, Jubilee House, 5 Mid Point Business Park, Thornbury, West Yorkshire, BD3 7AG.
Details about the extent of our authorisation and regulation by the Financial Conduct Authority are available from us on request. This policy is subject to English law unless otherwise agreed.
