A pickup truck is a light-duty truck which has an enclosed cab and an open cargo area with low sides and tailgate.
Should you buy a Pick Up?
Pick Up benefits:
Pulling power - Pick-up trucks are well-equipped to tow.
Best of both worlds - They drive like a car but are as customisable and versatile as a van.
Durability - Pickup trucks are more durable than any other vehicle, this is due to them having stronger bodies.
Pick Up considerations:
Manoeuvrability - Parking is more difficult in this type of vehicle.
Security - Your items aren’t secure when in the open back. You can purchase a lid for it however if you need to carry something large it won't fit.
What to look for in a Pick Up:
Four-Wheel or Two-Wheel Drive - Most trucks offer a choice between four-wheel drive and two-wheel drive, so you need to consider what terrain you will be likely to drive on often and whether its necessary to have four wheel drive.
Diesel or Petrol - An advantage of getting a diesel pick up is more torque and increased fuel range however they can be harder to find. Particularly for hardcore off-roaders, diesel will be better for you.
