The Honda Civic first took to UK roads in 1972 and since then it’s built up a cult following for its incredible reliability and ability to constantly evolve.
Now in its 10th generation the Honda Civic has more road presence than ever before; it’s longer, lower and wider than its predecessor, it appears to be hugging the road and is making more than a few heads turn.
It’s definitely needs to find a place on your family car shortlist, though don’t be fooled, get behind the wheel of the wicked Civic Type R and family will be far from the front of your mind; it’s ludicrously quick and an absurd amount of fun too!
The good news for families is, that though it doesn’t appear large from the outside, it has Tardis-like qualities, meaning even the tallest of your friends and family will find the Civic offers a comfortable ride.
There’s just the right amount of storage too; not so much that you’re tempted to carry half your house around with you, but sufficient to take everything you need if you have a young family in tow.
Super reliable and super safe, you can choose from six different trim levels and when it comes to what’s under the bonnet you can choose from two turbo-charged petrol engines or a light, modern diesel, of course you always have the option of manual or automatic.
Get behind the wheel and give the Honda Civic a spin, we think you’ll like what you drive.
A car designed for the real world. Rethought and redesigned inside and out, the Honda Civic is built to be driven, but it can be much more than that. It can be flexible and change to suit your needs and easily adapt to be what you want it to be.
At the front, the large air intakes and narrow front grille portrays an aggressive character. Everything flows sinuously along the sides of the car, over the roof and to the wide, rear tailgate. It’s easy to see why every inch of this car is designed to drive.
The sports experience continues inside with design features like: digital dial illumination, alloy pedals and a leather steering wheel*. It’s an environment created for comfort too, with plenty of legroom, quality soft touch materials and luxurious seats.
Providing class leading space, the versatile 60:40 split folding rear seats increase the carrying capacity of the Civic. Combined with a wide tailgate – which makes loading and unloading so much easier – you’ll be amazed at what you can fit into this car.*not available as standard on the S and SE grades
Using Bluetooth®, or USB, you can access information and playlists on your smartphone. You can also transfer your phone’s interface – via Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™ – to the 7” touchscreen to access apps allowing you to make calls, and send and receive messages*. The pre-installed internet-based AHA™ audio player also lets you connect to your favourite music stations, podcasts and news services. When the car is stationary, you can even watch a movie via HDMI.
The Civic 5 door has been engineered with a lighter, stiffer chassis for an engaging drive. There are two turbocharged engines to choose from, both with a manual 6-speed or automatic 7-speed CVT transmission.
Lighter and more efficient, they’re the next generation engines.
We’ve created two new turbocharged units to give our latest Civic the performance to match its sporty looks. You can decide between a powerful and refined 182PS 1.5 VTEC TURBO or our efficient 129PS 1.0 VTEC TURBO. Whichever you choose, an exciting drive awaits.
Designed to deliver maximum power from a small capacity, they both feature our Earth Dreams Technology, which perfectly balances sports performance with economy. They really are high on thrills and low on fuel consumption.
