BYD ATTO 2 Design and Practicality
The ATTO 2 combines stylish design with practical features. It has sharp LED headlights, sporty curves, and BYD's unique "Dragon Face" styling. It's built on BYD's advanced e-Platform 3.0, offering a low-slung battery pack for more cabin space.
- Exterior: The ATTO 2 has a sporty look and a strong stance. It's 4.3m long, making it easy to manoeuvre in the city with an ideal turning circle for city roads.
- Interior: Inside, you'll find a spacious cabin with vegan leather seats, soft-touch dashboard, and ambient lighting. Critics love the interior space which offers plenty of leg space and room to keep even the tallest passengers comfortable.
- Boot Space: The compact SUV has 400 litres of boot space, expanding to 1,340 litres with the rear seats folded. It's perfect for suitcases, shopping bags, prams, or hobby equipment.
What technology can we expect from the ATTO 2?
- Rotatable 12.8-inch Touchscreen: This display can switch between portrait and landscape mode to enjoy both navigation and entertainment.
- Smart Gestures: Adjust temperature or fan speed with three-finger swipes on the screen so you keep your eyes on the road whilst staying comfortable.
- Apple CarPlay & Android Auto: Wirelessly integrate your devices to keep you connected whilst out and about.
- Voice Control: Just say “Hi BYD” to adjust settings or activate features, great for keeping your hands on the heated steering wheel!

ATTO 2 Performance for Everyday Driving
The ATTO 2 is designed for city life but impresses everywhere. It has smooth handling and decent power delivery.
- Acceleration: The electric motor produces 174bhp, reaching 0–62mph in just 7.9 seconds. This rivals many compact electric SUVs!
- Ride Comfort: Road feedback is well-managed, and even our bumpy British roads should feel smooth thanks to balanced suspension. The ATTO 2 feels stable on motorways and responsive on winding roads, giving drivers confidence in varying conditions.

Range and Charging Expectations for the new ATTO 2
Whilst the ATTO 2 doesn’t necessarily lead the pack in charging speeds, the range is more than enough for commuting and city driving and even those longer trips to get away from it all which is impressive given its estimated price point. The ATTO 2 also has a heat pump. It uses residual heat to optimise range during colder months. This is a thoughtful addition for British winters and usually comes at an extra cost so great to see this included as standard.

What Safety and Assistance Features will be available?
The ATTO 2 comes with a range of safety technologies, many as standard. These include:
- Adaptive Cruise Control – maintains safe distances between vehicles without you having to keep your foot on the accelerator.
- 360 Degree Camera – navigate down winding roads and into tight spaces without risking your alloys or damaging your new car.
- Rear Cross-Traffic Alert – warns you of potential hazards when reversing for extra confidence during manoeuvres.
- Lane-Keeping Assist – keeps you front and centre out on the road and alerts the driver to drifting.
- Blind-Spot Monitoring – reduces the risk of accidents, especially in busy driving conditions.
- Driver Monitoring Systems – monitors driver behaviour to alert of any changes and rest breaks required.
Although the car hasn't been tested by Euro NCAP yet, its robust design, advanced sensor systems and the NCAP rating of other BYD models suggest a five-star safety rating is likely.
