Family-owned and run Swansway Motor Group has recently partnered with four community foundations across the West Midlands and North West with plans to support them in 2024.
Partnering with the Cheshire Community Foundation in June 2023 Swansway Motor Group made an initial donation of £10,000 to the Crewe Fund.
The Crewe Fund supports projects and causes solely in the Crewe area, it was important for Swansway to get involved with this fund, with their Head Office, Accident Repair Centre, Fleet Division and 6 dealerships all being based in Crewe.
Off the back of this partnership, Swansway were keen to get involved with more community foundations, and have recently selected Forever Manchester, Community Foundation for Lancashire, and and Staffordshire Community Foundation as their next partners. Donating £5,000 to each community foundation, Swansway will now be working alongside the teams in each area to invest these donations, focussing on those most in need.
Swansway’s decision to partner with more community foundations comes from the benefits noted when working with the Cheshire Community Foundation. All community foundations carry out thorough due diligence procedures to ensure the grants given to each cause are utilised in the most effective and impactful way, further to this, the community foundations support causes of varying scales, to always focus on those most in need. The community foundations also support causes that benefit as many people as possible in the most effective way possible, with a concentration on longevity and sustainability for the chosen causes.
In Manchester, Swansway will be supporting the Children, Young People and Families themed fund, with the money going to projects that fall under this category.
In Lancashire, Swansway’s donation will form part of the Lancashire Red Rose Funding Fund, which supports a range of causes across the Lancashire area.

Alongside this, the car dealer group have donated a further £7,500 to the Cheshire Community Foundation to support people affected by homelessness in the Cheshire area.
Each community foundation works closely with organisations and causes in their local community to tackle issues specific to that area, meaning that Swansway’s donations will have a meaningful impact on the local area.
