Audi reveals the new S3

After the release of the brand-new Audi A3 range earlier this year, all eyes have been on the Audi S3. This week Audi have introduced the brand-new Audi S3 Saloon and S3 Sportback to the market and it has undoubtedly made quite the impression. With increased performance from its predecessor, a brand-new torque splitter and an updated, expressive design the S3 range looks better than ever. The new models have branded the S3 as “more like a baby RS 3 than ever before, showcasing how the new updates have taken the model to the next level.

Striking and Sporty Design Enhancements

The S3 has undergone a redesign and has emerged with an even more muscular silhouette that embodies Audi's commitment to performance. The Singleframe grille, now wider and flatter, commands attention from any vantage point.

The front end is a symphony of lines and angles, merged to amplify the dynamic design of the S3. And the rear is no less captivating, with a new bumper and a gloss-black rear apron that results in a sports centered full package.

But the cosmetic enhancements are not mere aesthetics the new S3 boasts large ventilated brake disks, two-piston callipers at the front, resulting in increased agility and control on the tarmac.

Unleashing More Power

The new S3 surges with a 333PS burst of power, capable of reaching 0-62mph in 4.7 seconds. The heart of the S3 is a 2.0 TFSI quattro engine, now with 420 Nm of torque, ensuring that the S3 is more powerful than ever. The Audi S3 Saloon and Sportback has a top speed limited to 155 mph.

Similar to the RS3, the torque splitter is now available in the Audi S3. This increases both the agility and stability. The torque splitter uses an electronically controlled multiple disc clutch on each drive shaft to optimally distribute the torque between the rear wheel on the inside and the outside of the curve – depending on the driving situation and the chosen Audi drive select mode.

Interior Design

Both the Audi S3 Saloon and Sportback models have benefitted from beautiful updates to the interior cabin.

Inside, a reimagined cockpit showcases the epitome of digital experience. A redesigned centre console, new air vents, and a gleaming gear shifter hint at the precision engineering that goes into every Audi venture.

The interior is not just indulgence; it's a space crafted to elevate the driving experience. New decorative fabric inlays add a touch of comfort and luxury, while the ambient lighting package, with 30 different hues, lets you set the mood as you switch the S3 through the gears of life.

Next-Generation Technology

New Audi S3 Sportback headlights

The Audi S3 Saloon and Sportback models will be available in either the Black Edition of Vorsprung trim levels. Whether it's the sporty styling of the Black Edition or the sophisticated performance of the Vorsprung, the Audi S3 ensures that personalization is the name of the game. The new Audi S3 models will be available to order from 15th May 2024 with first customer deliveries expected later that month.
