Brought through ABT’s Engine Control unit, power rises from the regular car’s 500bhp to 641bhp - around 50bhp more than the factory RSQ8. A healthy 850Nm of torque aids the SUV in going from 0-60mph in just 3.8 seconds.

It’s done by optimising the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine’s parameters. As standard, the SQ8’s top speed is 155mph, but the ABT version increases this to 168mph.

Alongside the performance upgrades, ABT has fitted the SQ8 with a range of aerodynamic enhancements. A full aero package made up of a front skirt add-on, rear skirt and rear spoiler are included alongside 23-inch high-performance GR wheels finished in either gloss or matte black.

Buyers are able to select a package that includes the performance boost, aero package and alloy wheels for £19,800 plus installation and paint costs of £3,000. This comes on top of the standard price of the car - £84,560 as standard rising to £107,060 in top-spec Vorsprung trim.
