What RS Audi SUVs can I get?

Here’s a look at the most powerful Audi SUVs you can get

Audi has a long history producing hot RS versions of its saloons, estates, coupes and hatchbacks. All are world-renowned for offering immense straight-line speed, not to mention mind-bending handling thanks the manufacturer’s legendary quattro all-wheel-drive system.

However, what’s perhaps lesser known is how Audi’s RS brand fits in with its Q line-up of SUVs. There are some great models available here though – cars that sporty SUV buyers should really take a look at. So, here’s a run-down of all the company’s Q rocket ships…

Audi RS Q3

In the world of compact SUVs, few can match the breakneck performance of the RS Q3. This ballistic model first arrived on the scene in 2013, sporting a powerful five-cylinder engine under the bonnet. With a mighty 362bhp – in Performance form – it was no slouch with a 0-60mph time of just 4.8 seconds.

Now, for 2019, the beast is back and better than ever. It retains the glorious five-cylinder motor – packing a whopping 395bhp this time around – providing even more punch than its already quick predecessor. Getting from 0-60mph takes just 4.3 seconds, meaning – despite being a very practical small SUV – it’s also a complete performance weapon.

It’s worth noting that, with the new 2019 iteration, there’s one other RS Q3 to choose from – the Sportback. The only difference here is the coupe-like styling. Whereas the standard model features a more conventional SUV rear, the Sportback gets a sloping roofline and a slightly redesigned rear bumper. It’s athletic look certainly matches the car’s potent performance, so, out of the two, this may prove to be the one to go for.

Admittedly, this one’s yet to be fully revealed, but it’s well-known to be in the works and close to being unveiled. Audi’s also teased the car a bit too. The RS Q8 is said to be utilising a 542bhp twin-turbocharged V8 assisted by 134bhp electric motor, making it – that’s right – a hybrid and, not only that, but Audi’s most powerful model. It should prove quite the super SUV, then.
