Whilst the first incarnation of the Tiguan will live long in the memory of everyone at Volkswagen that owns, due to its phenomenally good reception.
The first generation of this VW SUV made huge waves in the market, as you would expect anytime VW enters a particular pool.
The Tiguan even out-sold the Land Rover Defender and became one the best-selling VW’s behind the Polo following its bow in 2007.
Now into the second generation VW have looked to recapture that excitement with the design of the newer version. And they have given it a great go with the new Tiguan R-Line.
The sportier look of the R-Line trim gives the Tiguan an even more impressive, assertive demeanour.
But the point behind the SUV craze is that you can get the whole family in the car, with the luggage you need for any trip, without having a hellishly cramped drive.
It may have been an issue with the Tiguan in the past that the interior possibly wasn’t as spacious as the SUV tag would have you believe. But if you want to upgrade to this new model you’ll definitely feel the difference.
An awesomely spacious, and classy, interior is possibly the jewel in the Tiguan R-Line crown.
All in all, the Tiguan R-Line is a pretty stunning vehicle inside and out. Any Golf owners who’ve decided that, for one reason or another, now’s the time to move up in size will feel right at home. The drive will be nostalgically Golf-y and the Golf seems to have done alright for itself, hasn’t it?
