How Has The Audi S5 Evolved Since Release?
First released to the market in 2007, the two-door coupe S5 turned heads and became known as the excellent sport variant of Audi’s lineup. The stronger, even ‘muscled-up’-alike change in its appearance signalled the depth of renewed engine power it held. With a top speed of 155.3mph and 6-speed tiptronic transmission, the all wheel drive powertrain became noticed for its strength, its performance, and its wide array of practical uses. It was and remains a successful model line for Audi, and for obvious reasons.
Then, things changed. With the release of the S5 Coupe in 2012, the chrome finished exhaust, and its similarity to the BMW 335Ci, the handling was upgraded, the elevation was assured and its sleek aerodynamics seems more suitable to a city atmosphere. It was highly rated at the time, and as such, the strength of this design has held true over the years.
Since then, additional features have been pioneered, especially with the S5’s four door sportback edition. From panoramic roofs to comfort and sound packs, from 360 cameras to assist with parking and dynamic light sequencing, the S5 has become a model that balances fundamental design polish with future feature sets. One thing is for sure, the S5 will be here and serving well for years to come.
