What happens when your engine overheats?​

It’s a common misconception when a car engine overheats is that it’s down to sudden changes in the weather. The truth is, an engine can overheat at any time given the wrong set of circumstances.

Anything from a lack of coolant to a split radiator hose can cause your temperature to rocket, and pretty much the only thing you can guarantee is that it will happen at the least convenient moment.
