Interior Design
The cabin of the SW mirrors that fitted to the regular 308 - but that’s no bad thing at all. You get Peugeot’s latest i-Cockpit setup, alongside a range of toggle switches which give you quick and easy shortcuts to a variety of different functions.
Plus, despite being relatively compact, the SW offers up 608 litres of boot space with the rear seats in place, rising to 1,634 litres with them folded down.
Exterior Design
If the regular 308 looked futuristic, then the SW version takes things one step further. It’s around the back of the car where this is particularly noticeable, where the whole car tapers off into an extremely dynamic-looking rear end. The sharp LED lights at the rear look particularly good, while upfront the eye-catching daytime running lights give the 308 a really futuristic appearance.
Technology
There are loads of high-tech features in the 308 SW. As mentioned, it gets the very latest i-Cockpit setup, which combines a 10-inch infotainment screen as well as a secondary display ahead of the driver.
The screen has also been placed slightly lower down the cabin to make it easier to both use and see when on the move.
Performance
The 308 SW is available with a wide variety of engines, including a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel. However, it’s likely that the ultra-efficient plug-in hybrid versions will find favour with many drivers since they boast up to 37 miles of electric-only power and CO2 emissions as low as 26g/km.
