The Insignia first debuted in the summer of 2008 to replace the Vectra, since then the model had an upgrade in 2013 which included additions such as the touchscreen entertainment system and design tweaks. During 2015 more features were added to the models such as IntelliLink Navi 900, which includes Apple CarPlay and the personal connectivity and service assistant OnStar*, these were introduced to range on Nav models (Design, SRi, SRi VX-Line and Elite) and Tech Line. Finally in 2017 the Insignia has moved on to the Second Generation of the model.
