Parts Sales Manager

This role will be working in partnership with Volkswagen in one of our Trade Part Centres (TPS). TPS sell genuine Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Skoda car parts to business customers.

An opportunity has arisen to work in our newest Trade Parts Centre (TPS) in Carlisle. You will be responsible for managing a team of Parts Sales Advisors whose role is to deal with business customers who are looking to purchase Volkswagen group vehicle parts. The type of customers will vary from owner operators to large dealership groups.

At Carlisle TPS we stock parts and our driver team distribute the parts once the sales team has quoted and sold the parts, its busy role but very rewarding. We are soon to be moving to new premises which brings an opportunity for us to grow the business.

The newly created Sales Manager role will have a dedicated focus on driving the performance our Parts Sales Team and driving the profitability from our customers. Initially you will manage a team of five but we expect this to grow over the next twelve months.

Day to day you will be leading, coaching and motivating the team by performance management to optimise sales opportunities within our existing customer base. Our Parts Sales Advisors will be responsible for making both inbound and outbound calls as well as actively managing accounts.

Working as part of the management team, you will work collectively to drive creativity and people engagement. There will be times when you may have to cover in the absence of our Centre Manager

Day to day responsibilities will include:

Setting and managing daily/weekly/monthly targets

Adhering to departmental KPI’s

Ensuring the department operation is GDPR compliant

Analysis of department performance

Offering coaching and personal development plans to maximise performance

Creating and implementing staff incentives

Manage positive relationships across the department parts network

Build relationships with large key customers

HR processes

Your credentials:

A minimum of 1 year experience in a team leader/supervisor/management role

Experience within a sales office experience

Previous experience of parts gained at a competitor or a franchise dealership

Proven experience of coaching and people development

Strong sales/negotiation skills

Hands on leader – used to working closely with their team

Ability to motivate others

Attention to detail

Can do attitude
