Audi Head of Business

Opportunities like this do not come around very often with Swansway. We currently have six Audi dealerships and we now have an opportunity for a Head of Business to join us at Carlisle Audi. A Head of Business with Swansway is a big job; you will responsible for the success of Carlisle Audi and with this comes great rewards.

You will lead the dealership to success with the support of your management team, which includes Sales and Aftersales Managers. You will be driving sales of both vehicle sales and retail work through our workshop. It is important that you are a hands-on leader fully aware of everything that is happening in your business, including; sales, aftersales, finance penetration, CSI and Audi balance score cards.

You will be heavily involved in stock, purchasing, pricing, marketing, presentation and of course ensuring that our customers receive the excellent service that they have come to expect. For this role, you will need to be process driven; it is important to ensure that process across all areas of your business are adhered to which will ensure we remain FCA compliant.

Day to day, you will be on the shop floor, interacting with your colleagues and driving results with your strong leadership experience and ability to motivate. Ensuring a working relationship with Audi is key in this role and you should view Audi as a trusted partner.

This role offers autonomy to shape your own dealership and run the business as if it was your own. You should be comfortable with managing change when needed and introducing new ways of working as you deem appropriate. 

Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Operational management of an Audi dealership
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction metrics are hit
  • Working closely with group functions such as; Finance & Insurance, HR and Customer Contact
  • Daily performance reporting
  • Develop marketing plans
  • People management including; performance management and recruitment
  • Monthly understanding of P&L accounts
  • Hands on stock buying
  • Setting of targets across the dealership
  • Execution of marketing plans/promotions
  • Attend weekly sales meetings with Swansway Directors

Your credentials:

  • It is essential that the successful candidate have previous experience of heading up a franchised dealership operation. You should fully understand the franchised car business and you should be able to demonstrate a clear passion for the industry. You should be hands-on in your approach and be able to buy stock, market and sell stock.
  • You should be well versed with writing budgets and be able to easily interpret monthly and annual P&L accounts.
  • A people leader you will have extensive experience of managing a sales team within the motor industry.
  • You should be a high achiever in the motor industry.
  • Entrepreneurial in nature driven by success.
  • Candidates with experience from prestige brands we would be very keen to hear from.
