Swansway Makes Maria Welcome

Three months into her new role, what does Maria Suleman, think of Swansway?

I came to Swansway straight from Staffordshire University, where I did a degree in Accounting and Finance. I was completely overwhelmed when I got a first; it was what I’d been working for, but it felt so good to achieve it.

By then I had already got my job at Swansway as Audi Divisional Analyst, and I feel really lucky that I love my first job! It’s a family owned business and I was pleasantly surprised with how close knit the whole company is, particularly the marketing department. I’ve settled in so amazingly well because of the extremely warm and friendly welcome from the Marketing team. It made the process of starting a new role so much easier, so big thanks to them all.

Chris Latham, who has now gone back to Uni and Audi Brand Director, Paul Woodhead, helped me get to grips with the role and I really appreciated their consideration in pacing handing over my responsibilities, which allowed me to settle in.

I have learnt that everyone here loves to help each other out and that’s one of my favourite things about working here. I also love the fact that the directors have a very active role in the daily running of the business, it reinforces the strong emphasis on teamwork within the company and makes me feel really valued.

I feel lucky that my first job is with Swansway and I’m extremely excited for the future.
