Sue Dinnen talks about the past 5 years with Swansway Group
Sue Dinnen, our Service Advisor at Swansway Honda Stockport has been here for 5 years, and has written a fantastic blog post about the past 5 years working for Swansway Group.
My employment began in the service department for Honda in 2010, I had no knowledge of the car industry. Initially the position proved very challenging, but with the help and support of my Management team, I feel I am working towards reaching my full potential.
There have been many changes over the last 5 years, which have been a positive move forward. Notably, since Swansway took over ownership in October 2010. Under the new Management, who strive to be the best in the industry, I feel we are being nurtured to succeed. We have a more professional approach, and a much nicer working environment/atmosphere.
Swansway introduced us to Emac service plan, which has now changed to the Honda service plan. I am very passionate that all car owners need to be provided with a service plan, to maintain their vehicles and protect the residual value.
The most important aspect of my position is customer service. Any person employed within this environment will know this can be challenging. I find going that extra mile, deep breaths and a big smile generally works for me. My ultimate goal is to make my customer feel special, valued and important, whilst maximising my sales and incentives. My personal achievements, of which I am very proud, have been to increase my average monthly sales plans, the best being 55 in one month. In total I estimate I have sold 1630 plans over a 4 ½ year period. My success has led to other service advisors asking my secret.
To sum up, in a “Caring, Honest and Proud” environment, I enjoy my job and look forward to many more productive years, working for Swansway Honda.
