The marketing team at Swansway Group is ever expanding, one of our newest recruits, Sophie, reflects on her first 3 months with the team:
“I have recently completed my first 3 months as part of the Marketing department at Swansway Garages. I progressed into this position from a receptionist role at Crewe Audi where I worked for 14 months. I knew university was not the route I wanted to take, as I had no idea what career path I wanted to follow, so felt it would benefit me more to secure full time employment.
My current role as CRM Database Administrator ultimately means I am the central point of contact for any alterations needed to the group database. I cleanse and update hundreds of records daily, filtering through historical data to predict valid MOT and service dates for the future. My main role is to ensure that I am improving overall data quality at all of our sites. I have been given new responsibilities regularly, such as providing social media content and organising events. These valuable experiences help to develop my skills in different fields, adding to my career prospects.
With Swansway being a family owned business, the core values of the business are; caring, honest and proud. I can honestly say that I have been welcomed and supported as part of the Swansway family since day one. I came into this job knowing absolutely nothing about the motor industry so I have literally been taught everything I know whilst I have been here. The Directors are very hands on and approachable as they are in the office on a daily basis; I feel my department in particular are extremely caring towards one another and each member of the team is appreciated.
I am looking forward to the rest of my time here at Swansway. I feel positive and excited about my future and hope the expansion of the group continues”.
