Natalie Sherratt's first year at Swansway

Natalie reflects her first 12 months as our front of house receptionist at Stoke Audi

"I remember receiving a phone call about arranging a job interview for the receptionist position at Stoke Audi. I was so excited about the thought of working for such a great company, but really nervous at the same time!

Phil Jones, Head of Business, sang down the phone to me! I was in stiches and straight away I knew how I wanted to work for Swansway! He made me laugh and really felt at ease, like I could be myself!

After previously working in a travel agents, joining Swansway was completely different. I've always loved the thought of working for a family owned business - the closeness and support is just brilliant, you always know that there's someone to talk to if you need them.

I think what really stands out with Swansway is that as an employee, you feel valued and not just a number. When the directors ring the dealership, they often take time to chat to me asking me about my day. It's lovely! To be able to natter away with your directors and have a giggle, it makes you feel like they really want to get to know you as a person!

I honestly do l love working on the front desk of Stoke Audi, welcoming customers with a smile and offering them coffee and biscuits. I'm the first point of contact so it means a lot to me to make that first impression really count. A smile goes a long way! It's a full circle, our first impressions are the most important thing to consider and having the opportunity to make customers happy, makes my employers happy, which makes me happy!

Not only do I believe I am valued at Stoke Audi, I also feel as though each task I complete or each customer I greet with a huge smile, it's all appreciated! That's a rare thing to find in a business, and in a job role.

I am certainly enjoying myself so far, and fully intend to be working within the Swansway Group for the foreseeable future!"
