By the time Swansway came in I was one of only two Sales Executives remaining at the site. My experience meant that I helped organise the fresh stock coming in and kept things running in the Sales Department while the changeover happened.
There’s been tremendous change at the site in the six years Swansway have owned it; most noticeable, of course, is that it’s a completely brand new dealership! Unrecognisable from the original rather tired and run-down showroom which Swansway took over.
I’m Head Sales Executive now, having been in car sales for over 20 years; funnily enough, I started my career at Elton Garages Peugeot, in Rochdale, which, at that time, was run by the Smyth family. When they took over Arnold Clark Honda I knew the family and the standards they are known for at their dealerships.
I enjoy my job and I really get pleasure from helping all my customers, whether they’re loyal and are on their fourth or fifth car, or brand new to Swansway and Honda. It’s great to receive recognition from the Management here and from the Smyth Family and this this Easter I got to dress up as giant bunny and give our Easter eggs to local children’s groups, I suspect that wouldn’t happen in too many other sales jobs!
Things people wouldn’t know about me; I have Alaskan Malamute dog called Xander; boringly the car of my dreams, is a Honda CRV Diesel, but on weekends I’d love to take a Jaguar F Type Convertible out for a spin.
