I started work for Crewe SEAT in February 2013. I’d previously worked in the retail furniture industry for six years, as a retail store manager, then, as the credit crunch hit, the company I worked for sadly went into administration.
Then I saw a job advertised with the Swansway Group for Sales at their Crewe SEAT centre and thought this would be a great opportunity to take a different career path and to really challenge myself. After securing the position I was as you can imagine a little apprehensive of stepping into the world of car sales, but, after some great training courses and wonderful support from the sales manager and Andrew Barnes, the Head of Business, I felt very happy in my new position and in the decision I’d made.
Within less than two years, I was booked on the first round of SEAT Sales accreditation. I passed with a merit and was of course extremely happy with the results I’d achieved. I was so grateful for the ongoing training and development given by both the brand and by Swansway Group. As a reward for my hard work, SEAT UK sent me for an action packed two day trip to Barcelona, the home of the brand!
Later in 2015 the chance arose for me to apply for the position of Business Manager at Crewe SEAT; I grasped the opportunity with both hands and applied for the position. In December of 2015 I was given an early Christmas present - a new job role and a great new career in a dealership and with a group that I care passionately about.
With quarter one of 2016 now done and dusted I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead. I’d like to say a huge thank you for all the support I’ve received from Swansway and the dealership. I’m looking forward to a long and exciting career with Swansway.
