Three key models - the Q4, Q8 e-tron and e-tron GT - formulate Audi’s electric line-up and they’re all currently part of the company’s ‘Make the Switch’ programme which means there are discounts available on all three. But what do they have to offer? Let’s take a closer look.

Audi Q4 e-tron

The Q4 e-tron is the smallest electric car in Audi’s current line-up, but it still manages to deliver big in all the areas that matter. It sits on a platform which has been specifically designed for electric cars - rather than adapted from an existing petrol one - which means that it’s got a lot more space inside than you might expect. It’s also available in a great range of colours, including a very eye-catching purple shade.

The Q4 has also got a range of up to 321 miles, while thanks to a maximum charging rate of 135 kW, the battery can be taken from five to 80 per cent in 29 minutes when you’re hooked up to a suitably speedy charger. Remember, too, that you can get the Q4 e-tron as an even sleeker ‘Sportback’ model which, because of its streamlined design, can return slightly more range than the ‘regular’ version.

Audi Q8 e-tron

The Q8 e-tron was the car which sparked off Audi’s electrification journey. Though first called simply ‘e-tron’, it has recently been renamed to ‘Q8 e-tron’ to make it easier to place as Audi’s range of electric vehicles has expanded. With its update came an even sharper exterior design and the integration of Audi’s new logos - you might notice the new ‘flatter’ design of four-rings at the front and rear.

It’s got a range of up to 330 miles, too, while many versions accelerate from 0-60mph in just 5.4 seconds. Plus, with a 170kW charging speed, the Q8 e-tron can go from 10 to 80 per cent charge in just 31 minutes. As with other models here, you can download the Audi connect app to see how your car is charging and even operate the door locks via your smartphone.

Audi e-tron GT

Finally, we’ve got the car which aims to blend Audi’s sporty characteristics with the whole new world of electric vehicles - the e-tron GT. It’s a car with some of the high-end features that you’d expect from a range-topping model, but it’s also comfortable and refined at speed - so it’s ideal for those longer journeys.

It’s got a range of up to 305 miles, too, so those longer journeys can be done on a single charge. However, when you do need to top up, the e-tron GT’s charging rate of 270kW - one of the quickest of any car on sale - means that a five to 80 per cent charge can be conducted in just 23 minutes.

Audi e-tron GT

The Audi e-tron range including the Audi Q4 e-tron, Q8 e-tron and e-tron GT are currently apart of Audi’s Make a Switch campaign. Running until 30th September 2023 there are discounts and deposit contributions in place to make switching to an electric Audi more beneficial than ever.
