Michael Beasley's First Year at Swansway

Michael Reflects on Year 1 with the Group

I worked in catering for 6 years before I joined Swansway as an Assistant Manager at the Zizzi Italian restaurant chain. This involved a promotion with the company and resulted in me relocating to Chester.

I always wanted to have a career in sales and believe it or not, the commission structure of the industry was of particular interest. I see it that those who work hard are rewarded and I would definitely consider myself a hard worker.

The training offered by Swansway Group was absolutely second to none and without the training I received I don’t think I would be selling anywhere near as many cars as I am today.

Swansway is different to anywhere I have worked before; I like the fact the group Directors have grass roots involvement in the business and the acknowledgement that your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.

Since joining Swansway I can definitely say that I have become more professional due to the atmosphere that surrounds me and the responsibilities I have.

Not that those responsibilities only involve selling new and used cars - I jump at every opportunity to dress up and act like a fool so I enjoyed playing a part in the Swansway Group Christmas video - it was great to see everyone get involved in something for fun.

In 5 years’ time, all be it very ambitious, but hey, that’s what it’s all about! I would like to be in a position to be progressing towards a GM role.

With the group expanding at the rate it is, with the new site Swansway Chester site due to open next March and the training on offer, I hope this isn’t too ambitious!

A family owned company like Swansway Group makes you feel that everyone working for the company cares! More importantly, everyone respects our customers and that is what sets Swansway apart.
