SWANSWAY HONDA SPONSOR BOLTON SCHOOLS CENTENARY BALL

THROUGHOUT THE LAST 12 MONTHS CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS HAVE TAKEN PLACE TO MARK 100 AND 500 YEAR ANNIVERSARIES FOR BOLTON SCHOOL.

In 2015 it was 100 years since Viscount Leverhulme brought together Bolton Grammar School for Boys with the Bolton High School for Girls to form Bolton School and the 500 year anniversary celebrates the Boys’ Division tracing its origins back to, at least, 1516.

The school’s 100/500 celebrations come to a close on 25 June, with a Centenary Ball, to be held at the Macron Stadium. Swansway Honda Bolton, now owned any run by the Boltonian Smyth family, are one of the sponsors of the ball and Swansway Group Chairman, Michael Smyth commented, “Bolton School is part of the fabric of Bolton life and no wonder when you consider the Boys’ Division can trace its history back to 1516”.

“As a Bolton family and with us now having a business back in Bolton; where we started, nearly 50 years ago, we are delighted to be supporting this finale to Bolton School’s celebrations.”
